Passports only count for the Olympics. Parity of esteem means if you want to be an Olympian in a sport represented by an all Ireland / cross border sports body then you need to get Republic of Ireland Paddyport.

You don't need documents. The Irish republic didn't have paper until 5 years ago. You just need an Irish granny and a leprechauny name like Seamus-Paddy O'Murphy. You could just make one up like Tagdhdhdghd (pronounced Kevin) Furlong did.
