Crazy stuff, when you allow a team 12 NIQs and then they win the league, does it follow you must then "come down hard " on them having one more NIQ.

Known in rugby circles as clear blue Nuciwanking.

I remember hearing that Dublin said no to a replacement, but don't remember who said it. Granted many of the rumours posted here are claptrap, but that one did have a ring of truth to it as I recall.
Nucibollocks went as far as denial of that one in the press, I had heard it from a pretty reliable source long before it was mentioned on here
It was use our own academy back rows or have some of Leinster's or Munster's if they were available.
Sorry, I'm being dense today - you'd heard we were denied a replacement?

And much as I'd like to see some academy back rows given a chance and take it, replacements for Coetzee they ain't. They might be replacements for Wilson or Diack or Ross, but not Coetzee. Neither are the three guys mentioned either come to think of it...

No we were not totally denied having a replacement, but we were told we could only get a IQ one from one of the other academies, we were not allowed a NIQ replacement for an existing NIQ player.

Moley, 3x2, I'll not say that what you are suggesting is either implausible or utter ballix, it's not, but I wonder how much Reidy remains a Dave in your minds, when actually he has developed into a very bloody good player.

I don't know if he'll be capped again or not, he won't in the 6Ns, despite being the "top tackler" in the Pro12, numerically anyway  , but he just might in Japan next summer, depending on who goes to NZ.

Saw some rumours copeland might be released by munster. Would he be easier to tempt north seeing as he played abroad before?

Backrow is the most competitive position with Ireland. Reidy is more of a good all rounder rather than a specialist in a certain area. He was our best forward on Sat despite facing the Irish backrow. He would be good value for a another cap but it would be unlikely unless there is a long injury list. Perhaps in the summer tour with several away with the lions.

Not good enough. Flattered to deceive for a while in Wales.
Young Rea is a better option.

Also said similar.. d4 can point to our all Irish International back row with Wilson, Henry and Reidy leaving Hendo to slot into 2nd row.. Notwithstanding Reidy has improved.

Cheers.

This is one of those "No, no, we're not denying you the ability to sign Stephen Moore, I'm sure he'd sign for a pair of used trainers and a signed photo of Sinead O'Connor..." things isn't it... no NIQ replacement is no adequate replacement.

I'd take Copeland. He can carry. Might be Rea is a better bet but I reckon there's space for both of them given current stocks.

Umm any evidence of that snipe lol. Copeland wouldn't be the first backrow to struggle in Munster. I wouldn't say he is brill but he absolutely took us apart one night playing for Cardiff. Might be a ruck inspector but he is a definite carrier. He won't come here unless he has some quite unrealistic Ireland expectations. I'd say he's off to France to milk himself a pension.

He has played some decent games for Munster back in November. Today he captained the A Team to a big win in Doncaster and scored a try. You wouldn't bring him to war but he's not bad.

Exactly Shan. We don't need another Joe average.
