Ulster v "The best backline in Europe"
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Re: Ulster v "The best backline in Europe"
I see that Heaslip, Toner, McGrath and Cronin have been made available the play against Edinburgh this Friday.
Can we assume that Best, Hendy, Jacko and Trimby will be available or will Best and Hendy have to wait another week.

Re: Ulster v "The best backline in Europe"
Would that be the best backline that so far has managed to score 1 try in two matches ?

Even more pressure on him to be neutral then which suits Ulster.BR wrote:I like him too, but he was born about 7 miles from Stradey.Rooster wrote:Good ref, I like young WhitehouseSparkyClarky wrote:Ulster vs Scarlets

Re: Ulster v
I wouldnt be so quick to disagree, individually they do have some good players - obviously not the best in Europe but a likely centre pairing of Williams/Davies isn't to be taken lightly, Rhys Patchell is a good pro12 player as is Aled Davies, then there is Liam Williams in the back three, yes he is stars but he's also admittedly a quality player in my eyesRuss wrote:You're deludedscrum5 wrote:the thing is they do have a good backline, hope it's another week before it clicks
Chris Henry is superhuman... I think he's half cyborg

yep, me too, wouldn't care if he was a staunch Scarlets fan, still better than the Irish mafia, of Lacey, Clancey, Philips and FitzmonkeyRooster wrote:Good ref, I like young WhitehouseSparkyClarky wrote:Ulster vs Scarlets

Re: Ulster v
The best in Europe quote was at best a bad idea, but welsh internationals at 9,10,12,13 and 15 is not a bad backline. DTH Van Der Merwe missed last week through illness, so may be playing this week. Their new kiwi winger Johnny McNicholl from the Crusaders does not arrive until later in the season.breakdown wrote:I wouldnt be so quick to disagree, individually they do have some good players - obviously not the best in Europe but a likely centre pairing of Williams/Davies isn't to be taken lightly, Rhys Patchell is a good pro12 player as is Aled Davies, then there is Liam Williams in the back three, yes he is stars but he's also admittedly a quality player in my eyesRuss wrote:You're deludedscrum5 wrote:the thing is they do have a good backline, hope it's another week before it clicks
Interesting game, 2 teams whose strength lies in their backline rather than their pack. If the weather is good, could have an open game.
