McMaster is new Ulster U21 coach
Gary Longwell will be coaching the Ulster U21 forwards
Former Ireland B winger Terry McMaster is the new Ulster under-21 coach with recently-retired international lock Gary Longwell his assistant.
McMaster steps in for Gerald McCarter who led the Ulster side to their first inter-provincial title last season.
"It's a great honour and a great challenge to carry on the great work started by Gerald," said McMaster.
"To be able work with the next generation of professional Ulster players is quite a thrill."
McMaster, like McCarter, is a former coach at City of Derry. He spent his playing days with Bangor during their halcyon days in the Eighties when Senior League and Cup titles were a matter of form.
Longwell automatically steps into the role after he was recently installed as the new High Performance Manager for rugby at the Sports Institute (NI) at Jordanstown.
