Should have been a case for keeping Ruan to cover 10 and to allow the surge of talent that he has been keeping behind him at 9 to finally explode onto the world. This shouldn't be a shock it was reported months ago and surely someone at UR thought of having a quiet word with D4 to ask.. what if?

I have said many times that we are/were one injury away at 9 and 10 from having to write a full season off... now we have the Perform Storm and both 9 & 10 are gone one for good the other for what could be a large section of next year..

Heard one of the leading lights in the PMC.. a man with more brains and business acumen than 64% of the entire make-up of UR has jumped off the sinking ship...

Agree about keeping this only about the rugby.

Ulster better have some sort of plan as between this and whatever the feck is going on with the league for next season this could prove very costly if they don't act swiftly and decisively.

Heron is dung and can't kick. McPhillips can kick but he is very young still.
He's young but hasn't really impressed even at age group rugby.
He impressed me.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Well you saw something in him that I didn't, thought he was very pedestrian and didn't show anything to suggest he'll be a contender for a place in the squad anytime soon, other than for his kicking.

Did Ulster sign Angus Curtis or not? Yes, I know he is not ready but I haven't seen him in any pre season warm ups.... happy to be told differently,

It was as good as guaranteed that this was coming for many months, it's just only becoming public now.

I have been banging my head about this and can not for the life of me understand why nothing has been put in place to provide cover at 10. It is part of the reason I am so exasperated by the decision to let Ruan go
