Anybody know if the plate semi-final between Ballymena and CAI has been played yet and what the score was?..

Medallion shield final is tomorrow at Ravenhill. I'm not too sure of the KO time.

Sullivan won 17-0. Only the second time in their history to my knowledge. Last time was Darren Cave's Medallion year. Well done to all the boys and commiserations to the gallant losers from Limavady.

Interestingly enough the star player for Sullivan is Dave Cave, (great name that actually!!). No idea if he is related. Other top player is Ross Adair. His dad is Ricky Adair, former goalkeeper for Glens & Ports I think, also OH for CI & Holywood.

Ross Adair plays for Sullivan 1st XV - It's two years since he was a Medallion. He may have a younger brother but I'm not sure.

MCB 26 V 10 BALLYMENA in the Medallion Plate final..great game and some outstanding performances capped off four great years of junior rugby under the tutorship of the legendary Davy Wells,Dr Dorrity and Colin Martin( a great bloke and a great coach). The lads dug themselves out of their boots after their unlucky defeat against Sullivan in the 4th round and galvanised themselves to go on and lift the plate. The nucleus of this team will go on to senior honours and with two very strong years coming behind them the future looks good.
I want to take this opportunity to wish the young Ballymena lad who was stretchered off a speedy recovery and well done to Ballymena for a good battling dispaly and their fans and parents provided great support on a balmy sunny day at Roughfort( you cant say that about Roughfort too often!)...roll on senior rugby!!
