Cables, we are happy little vegimites at the moment. 3 wins on the trot at home! The Force played well against the Sharks in a entertaining game.
Only bummer was Henjak our scrummie tweaked a medial ligament and Scott our no 2 tighthead injured a calf. Both out for a month.
Off to NZ now. Crusaders , Chiefs then the Brumbies in Canberra for next 3 weeks. A daunting road trip in anybodies language but we are on song at the present and would fill half a Wallaby squad if picked now.
There is a strong belief in the squad in their playing ability and fear no bar steward. Next week against Canterbury in Christchurch will be a cracker and we are a strong show here for a upset, even they havent lost at home for 24 odd games.Probably something to do with they provide half the run on All Blacks team. Anyway winning form is good form.

"I turned my collar to the cold and damp" in Canterbury.

Ouch!

Hard to get an away win but it is the depletion of the points difference comfort zone which may hurt most eventually.

Any word on Gannon?

Cannon was released from Hospital this monring and will back in Perth and seeing his own specialist early in teh week - looks to be OK. Not sure about his Rugby future though, probably over now.

This week he turned 34, signed on for another year with the Force, got absolutely thumped in Christchurch and suffered what is most likely a career ending neck injury.

On the brighter side... hang on, there is no brighter side. 'scuse the blasthemy but the Force got crucified by teh crusaders in Christchurch on the easter weekend!? What did they do to pi$h off who?

Resurrection next week :thumleft:

Crusaders were awesome - no other word for it. They are head and shoulders above any other club/domestic side in the world.
In fact if the Crusaders kept their internationals, they would give what remains of NZ a very close game.

Would expect the Crusaders to get back on form and take the Bulls.

Sharks beat the Blues 2 weeks ago at Eden Park and I take them to win in Durban.

Don't tell anyone, but I'd be happy to see an all South African final - give those kiwis a bit of a shake up...

all said and done, the Force did well to end up in the top half of the table - mission for next season is to get over teh fear of winning in New Zealand, they certainly have no problems in South Africa.

Roll on 2008!
