Hpws things going with what a month to go to the big kick off? See Giteau may be used at IC and Staniforth moved. The Force likely to be around the bottom again or maybe pushing mid table? Must admit was always a Brumbies fan myself but go on the Force.

CJP, we are no closer to Giteau or Staniforths positions as you are. Much speculation amongest punters here where to play them.
Force have a serious hit out next Thursday when we play Manu Samoa in our last match before season kick off on 01.02.07 against Otago Highlanders, may have a better idea after that. Talk of Staniforth either on a wing(wasted there) or impact player off the bench in the second half. Gits can play where ever he likes.
Good problem to have.

As with TLH, I think things are far from resolved as to where Stanners will play.
Having now been made one of two Vice Captains (with Scott Fava #8 and Nathan Sharpe #5 Captain) the expectation is that he now must start even if it means on the Wing, ironically pre '06 his position!
Personally, if I was a Coach, I would be persisting with Giteau at #9 and Staniforth at #12 but that isn't going to happen and most Gits fans go into melt down when it is suggested.
So my compromise take on it is to have Stanners on the Bench and move him to #12 during the second half with Gits replacing the Scrum Half.
This allows more power at #12 and more agility at #9 on tiring defences and also the ability to carry an extra Utility on the Bench rather than a specialist Scrum Half.
There was a minor ego battle between Force Coach John Mitchell and Wallaby Coach John Connolly regarding Gits playing at #9 however in recent times Mitch has softened his stance to suggest he will be good cover for the Scrum Half having now had International experience there.
Kinda the cart before the horse but anyway...
By the way TLH, hope you turn up to JB's and Subiaco on the 2nd of Feb mate, might be disappointed on the 1st ;)
