Let it be a lesson to you and back up all your important data on either another hard drive, dvd or cd and if you use dvd or cd make 2 copies of each and recopy them every 6 months or you could lose them as well.
I learnt the hard way a few years ago :(

Wow - Solid Air - thats the first time I've ever heard of a System Restore actually doing something other than making matters worse! Good job!
