Thought you'd maybe had enough Fermain! Wouldn't blame you.
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

If the site is getting more traffic than it normally does and can handle it can seem like that.
My bet is that's the problem, only a guess though

Probably more eyes on it than usual.
Was unavailable most of yesterday. Was running sweet this morning until around 9.40am and it’s been stop/start since then.

CT - probably not, but just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you!! :(
WW - yes, probably close to the truth. The numbers of hits we are getting has caused the server to try and use more resources than is available to the site, so despite increasing the amount of connections, it's also timing out, and causing the database to close sessions improperly hence the mb_posts and mb_sessions tables locking in an open state and hanging.

Sorry to all, but I am often away from the PC these days and often travelling for work, or staying in hot4els so not a lot of time to work on it.
