UAFC server down

Post by fermain »

Apologies to all, but an unexpected issue with another server, linked to the UAFC server, caused a massive load  and consequently, a server failure to occur just as good ole Ulster were errrmmm, well. we'll say moving around the pitch!
From what I have been able to establish, a runaway process on another VPS caused all of the resources on the host to be consumed, this caused the host to effectively stop, which in turn caused all connected VPS's to stop also.
Once we knew what it was, we had to cycle the power to bring it all back online.

I once again apologise profusely for the inconvenience... Always at the most inappropriate times. >flog

I thought it was a storm.............of angry UAFC denizens, parttime UR supporters.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Is there an issue with numbers trying to get access? Last few big losses the site had been down.

Not real supporters if they only want to comment when the team loses.

Not according to the hosts. Last time was another site caused a power surge. This time, my database sessions table crashed. Usually happens when there is an issue with the MySQL server of the host. (or so the phpBB people claim). I need to have a word >threaten
