I think his skillset suits 12 perfectly aswell.Snipe Watson wrote:Bayern wrote: His body type really only suits 12 imo.
I'd be more concerned about his skillset.........

Chris Farrell's future?
Before he had his serious knee injury, Farrell looked like a potential superstar.
Obviously his knee injury was quite serious and it will take some time for him to regain form, fitness and confidence.
But where do you see his Ulster career going?
His body type really only suits 12 imo.

Re: Under20's
comparing results from u18 level to u19 level and making some sort of conclusion based on that is flawed.

Re: Under20's
That Leinster u19 side is vastly different to the u18 side that played last year. Only 2 players who started in that u18 side started for the u19 side last week. The openside Thornton and the 13 Brennan(who played wing last year) Few guys were on the bench but the guts of the u18 side is at under 20...

Re: Under20's
What ever happened to that second row Russell Blair? thought he was highly thought of. Injured Thanks, thats disappointing. Still out with the broken leg? If he fulfilled his potential, it would be a big step forward for club rugby in Ulster. Hope he gets back healthy and makes a challenge at compe...

Re: Academy 13/14
Shanahan wasn't even offered an academy spot by Leinster, he is promising but can't see him jumping Heaney or Porter in the short term.

I'm a great fan of MA, but honestly can't wait for some of the Ulster backs to get a chance to work with Schmidt.

Re: Transfers
Plenty of young rugby players have a penchant of having a good time off the field especially when injured.
Murphy was highly rated, shame he is injury prone though.

Standouts on the u20 team include:
Ross Kane, Prop.
Russell Blair, Lock.
Ben Alexander, Backrow.
Mark Best, Centre.
Ross Adair, Wing.
Not sure of anyone else.

Re: Back line 2013/14
Olding played 13 last year for the u20s. Was impressive especially considering he was a year younger than most players aswell. Has played 10,12,13 and 15 at u20 level. Think he suits centre best and I believe he is more suited to 13 than Marshall. In trying to get your best 15 on the field, i'd go w...

What I'd like to see: 9. Pienaar 10. Jackson 11. Trimble 12. Marshall 13. Olding 14. Bowe 15. Payne What we will see: 9. Pienaar 10. Jackson 11. Trimble 12. Wallace 13. Cave 14. Bowe 15. Payne What does everyone think of moving Bowe to 13? Similar to what Rougerie did later in his career to extend h...
