I don't think he's lit the world on fire at scrum half at club level but Ulster keep picking scrumhalves on the wing in preseasons and A sides, Cairns, Stronge, etc.

Re: Ulster v Weegies
Decent passing game so I can see why he plays centre sometimes but seems an ineffectual tackler (other than one good hit he put in).

Re: Ulster v Weegies
Don't get too excited 29 man squad, will be many changes etc With Marcus Rea playing thats probably best for the weegies, he's the reason they never bothered with upgrading to sliced bread in Glarryford. Big hopes for this kid. With Billy as captain, are we officially the billy boys :duck: Rea had ...

I've never got why Cooper hasn't gotten even a sniff of the senior side, three years in the academy all the while tearing things up for Malone. Now he's seemingly without a contract having graduated from the academy.

We shall see, from what I've seen of Doak I thought Stewart looked a better prospect at the same age.Kofi Annan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 8:30 am Doak , will be a major player for Ulster/Ireland in years to come, Adair was in jersey, got injured came home played for Hinch and now getting A games , expect that to be it to be honest

Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20
Whats our strongest pack this season when all are available? Fantasy stuff 1 McGrath - O'Sullivan should be pushing him hard right from the get go, will be interesting to see where this tussle ends up come end of seasonstarting selection.... Warwick, McCall and O'Hagan all what I would now call dea...

Re: Will Addison
Hope he has a great game and doesn't get crocked. He's a lovely mover who reminds me of Jared who I always loved to see attacking from deep, doing what Kearney often tries and fails to do. Ulster will be a far better attacking force with him to bring some subtlety to the backline. Ireland too of co...

Ulster's Twitter did have the live scores, though oddly formatted in a set of threads.damianmcr wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 10:03 pmdamianmcr wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:20 pm Good win for Ulster. In no way a shock Ulster have no info about the game.

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Ulster clubs were leading Connacht at one stage then Co conceded two tries when capt was yc'd. Spoilt the game as a contest. U18 was a v young side. Loads of u18 playing in u19's. Not sure why that is a good idea. In previous years all the best 18's play u18. Leinster deserved it although a few Uls...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
From The42 website In time he will make that power count in senior 15-a-side rugby, but the medium-term plan for Sexton is to link up with the Ireland Sevens squad. He will be a valuable addition in their maiden World Series campaign and what promises to be a tough final bid for the 2020 Olympics w...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
What happened with McIlroy? Not too sure, there's the conspiratorial thinking that it's connected to his brother. He could also just be another O'Donnell and Campbell took a dislike to him, or Nucifora decided that he doesn't fit the bill (have been a couple of instances of this recently across the...

Yeah I'd be of the same opinion, not even the in the top 3 of stand out backs in that Methody Campbell final for me despite how enthusiastic Gusher was about him, though he did have a tougher job with what was around him.Knows nothing wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 3:03 pm Lol. Which CR would you say is overrated? Because for me it's not the prop (though the prop has some catching up to do after his time out).Knows nothing wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 1:45 pm Good additions.
CR quick.
TS dynamic. Played Irish Schools 2 years running.
CR overrated a tad.
AS v rapid.

And we wonder why we produce deficient scrumhalf after deficient scrumhalf.
