Re: Replacement 10

Feel like Im in a Byrne and Carberry spit roast at the moment and I don't like it. Wish this whole thing was over and done with so we can move forward. I doubt very much if Byrne will feature. It'll be Carbery or an NIQ. We need someone as despite what some think, our bairns aren't ready for big ga...

Re: Dear Bryn

Is Ross going?

Seems that over the last couple seasons we have been shrinking in terms of squad depth. Now we are even looking thin at centre and wing, the two places we have been very well stocked up until recently.

Re: Replacement 10

He reality is that Joe wants him to come north. So one of two things happens. He moves, and if it’s for two years or more I’m happy as he is way ahead of any ten we have (or may not even have when it comes to Mcphillips). Or he doesn’t move, then we are truly shafted as clearly a NIQ has not been li...

Re: Replacement 10

There's no way that several high profile rugby figures could go and have an important and sensitive discussion in public like that. People would be coming over looking for selfies and autographs while they were trying to cover up a conspiracy regarding Ulster's fly-half. Sent from my SM-G930F using...

Working title.. 19000 Angry Men
Ulster rugby players lacking penetration, now that’s a news story.
I thought the lack of Ulster penetration is not only well known, but a jury has confirmed it to be fact.

This Friend rumour has to stop, would be potentially equal with Honds contract in terms of uselessness.

Re: Andrew Friend

Well Bryn has nowhere to go on this one, he appeared pretty happy to me. UR and IRFU both happy with the appointment/primary target secured.....we’ll see exactly whether BC has played a blinder or not. Sounded clearly like the target is still in action, at his present club.If we r talking re id and...

My thoughts exactly
Did he say that, or did he say he is a ‘primary target’. Not sure that means the same thing

Re: Replacement 10

Last weekend I was chatting to an ex Scotland player/pundit who I have a good deal of respect for. He did bring up the topic of the trial and he sacking of the boys. What was really interesting was that I was genuinely shocked that he thought the irfu had no choice. What was equally interesting if n...

Who would be next in line?
He’s missed half this season with injury too hasn’t he?

Re: Replacement 10

If it happens it needs to be on a 2 year contract minimum. In fact I don’t think we should ever really be handing out one years (with the odd exception like Terblanche) contracts or extensions. If they aren’t willing to stay for a minimum of 2 then we don’t want them. If they aren’t clearly good eno...

Re: Replacement 10

Bit of realism needed here, we need another ten. We can not rely on the unproven youngsters we have. Carbery or Byrne for a couple seasons would work, see if the likes of Lowry are up to it. Personally I like the idea of Christian coming back, I see the fact that he is an excellent 12 as a positive,...
