Re: What are you watching?
The Staircase on Netflix a fine example of how sudo science , prejudice , and a wrapped adversarial law enforcement can lose sight of the fact they don't have to win but seek truth and justice and in failing to do so must thereafter defend the indefensible . I enjoyed that show. Also liked Hustle -...

Re: Ireland ? in New Zealand
Interesting game. Ireland played very well I thought both in attack and defense. The early try unsettled NZ and unlike last week, they couldn't get back into the game quickly and pressure built. The red card was pretty fundamental but Ireland still controlled the game very well. Certainly a differen...

Re: Ireland ? in New Zealand
You can't rank New Zealand sides but you can rank their players -- with regards to the players i haven't watched them enough but there are a couple who are definitely in the top two in their position in the world at this time and basically the players have to ranked on the basis of the current worl...

Re: Ireland ? in New Zealand
Was hoping to see a few Ulster players tonight. I think a couple are injured but who should be knocking on the door? AB selection isn't entirely convincing but with the coach out with covid and Joe Smidt involved it adds an element for sure. If ABs go up early it could be a long night for ireland bu...

Re: 6 nations 22
Finding it quite strange that the media seem to be going a bit crazy with Irelands 6 nations. Wales and Italy were abysmal. Scotland were okay today but pretty average really. England away was a struggle Vs 14 men and eventually pulled clear and then defeat in France. Definitely some bright players ...

Re: 6 nations 22
1st ireland game I have watched in a while. Very impressed by both sides. Thought France were going to pull away but Ireland seemed to lack the belief to go all the way. Both sides will be hard to beat at home but probably susceptible away. Intensity was probably what I was most impressed by.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri Jan 8th 7:35pm KO
It's time a ref or two pulled Gibson-Park for ducking the tackle. His head's invariably about 18" off the turf every time he comes near a tackle. Find a law saying it's not allowed... Is it allowed now? Didn't use to be. I bow to your better knowledge What about jumping the tackle which you se...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri Jan 8th 7:35pm KO
The sooner Coetzee fecks aff back to South Africa the better, we score 6 points against the champions playing with 14 men without him. He has been holding us back  Jones, Murphy, Carter have been nothing short of fantastic! Jones heading for MOM I'm hoping Coetzee has had a nice rest and can i...

thought the yellow was fair. Could have been red with a different referee. This guy is solid.

Re: Autumn Nations Cup aka 8 Nations
so which Ulster player should get the blame this week?
I assume the defeat was due to not having enough impact off the bench?

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.
I really think if we had taken that 3 points at the end of the 1st half it may have put a different slant on it. Once leinster went 8 ahead we were up against it. We needed to be within 1 penalty kick all game. Playing catch-up rugby Vs Leinster is a big ask.
