Re: Sky to get pro12 games?
What's a "big" game though? Top of the table clash or the one with the biggest Sky subscriber base? If the former, it's entirely up to the squad... The latter and we might not see much of Ulster in a season. Why do you think that? Belfast is actually the 10th biggest "urban area"...

Re: 9/10 and World Dominance.
If you'd unbunch your panties Al with all the :banghead: stuff you might understand that the point being made is that you can't expect an inexperienced 10 to do more than he is doing. That's exactly it. He's doing his best but he's not a "dominant" 10 at this stage in his career. I get th...

Re: 9/10 and World Dominance.
That all depends, are we primariy here to develop a future 10, or are we here to win right now?ruckover wrote:Of course we should give Jackson some slack cos he's young Ally - he's still learning and improving.

Re: 9/10 and World Dominance.
For my money RP is a very very very good SH, comparable with anyone globally, but only a decent 10. The problem I think is Jackson. I think if he were a 32 year old New Zealander playing exactly as Jackson has people here would have a very different opinion of him. Ulster fans cut him a lot of slack...

A 20 year old outhalf needs games more than he needs a summer on the beach and in the gym.Setanta wrote:Let Jackson go on the u20s but quid pro quo Ferris has a rest?
Ferris is a man who needs to put his feet up for a while.

Re: Summer Tour
Are the days of a competitive Irish international side over? I dont think so. There might not be depth in a few positions (TH prop, OH, IC) but our first choice team, is it that bad? Front row, first choice is a solid unit. Limited amount of backup in the props is worrying, but the 2 Leinster hooke...

Re: Positives and negatives: The Heinekin Cup Final
+ves - we got to the final - played some nice rugby - scored a good try - Centres were good - Lineout was good -ves - Jackson was rubbish - Terrblanche was rubbish - Didnt batter them in the scrums, indeed they won a couple of critical ones - Breakdown - For me this was the biggest problem of all. Re: Is Cave BOD mark 2?
BOD is the greatest Irish player of the professional era and one of the greatest players the world has ever seen.
Cave is a good player and might make a good international someday but lets not get carried away.

Re: rate the players...............taken from telegraph
How on earth does Terblanche get a 7? We were still in with an outside but still vaguely possible shot of the game, 2 tries needed in about 7 minutes, when he lost it and got sent to the bin for stupidity. 17 points later we were on the end of the biggest mauling in the history of the HC. He made th...

Re: Do we have a problem??
Unlike many I havent seen anything from PJ to make me think he is a star in the making. Lets hope I am very wrong there.
The thing is Humph has been pretty poor for large chunks of this season, so I am not sure we will have that much more of a problem than we did this year.

Re: Mexicans
Was down in Dublin last year for the Celtic League semi final and have no complaints at all about the Leinster fans, all I met were fine. I am sure there are plenty of w*nk*rs amongst them, but you will find them at Ravenhill too I bet. I suppose the one Leinster fan who is winding me up a fair bit ...
