Re: Ulster's finances

Columbo, another great post. IRFU will not let the Branch become insolvent but the key is what cost-cutting will they insist on & what will that mean for Ulster in the short term? Management’s job is to mitigate & manage both internal & external risks. It doesn’t seem that they did this ...

Re: Ulster's finances

There is no corporation tax relief for a non-trading asset, I believe, but not a tax professional.

Re: Ulster's finances

One wonders how they believed they could afford Kitshoff. Maybe they will sell the “investment property” to help fund his wages, as they have little cash left £1.3m (£2.4m, a year previously) & given another deficit (a further large one likely) forecast (accounts say so) this year suggesting pot...

Re: Ulster's finances

I think the current doom and gloom over Ulster’s finances is very much overdone – I have seen some frankly mental comments around the place, literally worrying about Ulster’s solvency. Which is crazy, yes management will (justifiably) get a bit of a punishment beating, cost-cutting will take place,...

Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie

Good post Columbo. Presumably the IRFU counter argument would be that we got a new stadium for free. On using the new plastic pitch to increase its use for sports & non-sports activity UR advised the planners that it would not lead to “…a growth in the volume of activity which the pitch will hos...

Please take a lateral flow test before attending, in line with NI government guidance & recent email issued tonight to season tickets holders. We don’t want our Christmas’s ruined by having to self-isolate guldering the Team to a hoped for victory. See FAQ 3, 2nd bullet point.👇 https://www.nidir...

Re: Return of Supporters

For the record I am not a tout and won't be either contacting the PSNI or as seems to be the in thing now UR to report on so called supporter/fan.
You should do so to assist those placed at risk by such negligence.

I didn’t hear it and I sit in the Grandstand not far away from the witness who identified themselves on Twitter.

Re: Ulster Squad 2018/19

Did anyone see BBC Newsline this evening (Wednesday). There was a clip of the squad official photo. A player’s face was deliberately obscured. He was on the right in the front row, wearing orange boots, I think. Rather odd. Who is or was that man?! https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0...
