Re: Sarries away it is then....

Starsky, I admit that this is going back a long time but do we not remember the drama that surrounded Ulster's quarter-final against Toulouse in 1998/1999? Like Ulster back then, Saracens have a strong preference for playing at (what will be) their home stadium and need to find out if that is possi...

Re: Sarries away it is then....

It is disgraceful that Saracens still haven't declared a venue for the game. Is it incompetence on their part, or is it gamesmanship? They know the longer they leave it the more difficult and expensive it will be for Ulster fans to travel, in light of two other provinces being in the London area tha...

Re: Does the Humph need to push for NIQ cover?

I'd imagine we could be looking, note looking, at options for a 3rd choice stop-gap at TH given Macklins season is now over and D Fizzle cannot be relied upon to remain injury free. Yet on the other thread you recommend playing Lutton and Court at TH? Saying those two things isn't contrad...

Nosey stalker alert

Cave, Small P, NOC and Nugget Black once again at The Streat. Maurice Field approaches Cave and asks if he knows where Messrs Andrews and Olding are. Cave introduces Field to Black, adding he should have had more caps for Ireland.

Risking getting abuse

That annoying 'Music Man' song played by wedding dj's - one of the chorus parts is singing Pi-a pi-a piano. Simply change to Pienaar :duck: and repeat ad nauseum >elvis

Re: 9/10 and World Dominance.

I don't know how much planning (long-term) has gone into our way of playing this year, probably not a great deal though I imagine. With the exception of the recruitment of RP. From my non expert viewpoint we react to broken play/turnovers in a very Kiwi like fashion which is no doubt Anscombe's infl...

Re: 9/10 and World Dominance.

The facet of our play that has really stood out for me this season has been our pressure defence. We have strangled other sides at times, forced errors and clinically punished them. It has left people thinking we have won easily despite not playing overly well, but I think they're failing to recogni...

Re: The Head Tap

As others have said, the head tap/pat boils my pish and needs to be stamped out. Varley seemed to be the worst offender last night and should have got a card. Worst exponent of this practice from my memory was Contemponi.

Northampton Saints v Ulster

First hurdle in December overcome but with an unconvincing performance. Time for our biggest test so far. No doubt our available experienced players will slot back into the team - leadership will be essential if we're to get past a streetwise team like the Sinners. I would guess starting 15 will be ...
