Re: URC 2022/23 - Other Sides

I see there’s an Ulster ‘reject’ in the Leinster back row tomorrow. He couldn't decide between GAA and rugby. That caused an issue rather than his ability. Hmmm, interesting. What sort of arrangement did Leinster offer that Ulster didn't? He's not contracted to play with Leinster, they just selecte...

Re: URC 2022/23 - Other Sides

Don’t think it was Chile’s strongest team but they looked like a semi-pro team and too often defended like one too. Leinster 10-12-13 axis cut them open frequently in the first 50 minutes with some fairly standard backline moves. Better handling from the back 3 and the defeat would have been even wo...

Put in a pretty decent performance. Played the full 80.

Leinster 40 Chile 3 was the final score. Quite a few there supporting the away side. Decent enough crowd for 2pm on a Friday.

Apparently McCloskey's injury isn't as bad as initially feared.

Re: Autumn Internationals 2022

O’Brien has played across the back line for Leinster. He was also a fly-half at school but don’t recall him ever featuring there for Leinster.

Peel must be on thin ice. Scarlets look abject and utterly devoid of ideas.

Re: URC 2022/23 - Other Sides

Leinster very profligate in the first half in the Munster 22. Left behind at least four tries. James Lowe would have had a field day had he been fit to play. Leinster were creating big gaps down Munster’s right flank. Dan Goggin is a poor defender at 13. Next to no lateral movement which leaves him ...

Re: URC 2022/23 - Other Sides

Hard to overstate how much of a shambles Munster are at the moment. Highlight of the evening was Gavin Coombes breaking off the back of a scrum in his own 22 only to realise he literally had no support. He then aimlessly hoofed the ball upfield. There are some good players in that Munster squad but ...

Leinster Injuries; Doris misses out against Ulster with concussion, Connors and James Ryan in the maybe category. Gibson-Park will be available. Frawley out for a few weeks with a shoulder injury. Other absentees include James Lowe and Hugo Keenan. Possible team: J O'Brien; Larmour, Ringrose, Hensha...

Someone give Jim & Humph a shout and tell them that's not Oran McNulty in the 23 shirt for Connacht. It's Alex Wootton.

Re: URC 2022/23 - Other Sides

https://www.unitedrugby.com/latest/news/ins-and-outs-a-team-by-team-list-of-urc-transfers URC ins and outs. It’s notable, on the face of it, that Leinster and Munster shipped out 20 between them and only brought in two each. Zebre have done a Nottingham Forest. Players Out for Leinster isn't fully ...
