Re: Cheetahs v Ulster Friday 21st September 6:15pm KO
For me, the most disturbing thing was the missed tackles of Coetzee. Coach made the correct decision and whipped him off the park. To all the vitriole that was hurled at Shanahan, eat a bit of humble pie and have the grace to admit it. He's not a suitable scrum half replacement but he did very well ...

Re: Ulster Squad 2018/19
Did anyone see BBC Newsline this evening (Wednesday). There was a clip of the squad official photo. A player’s face was deliberately obscured. He was on the right in the front row, wearing orange boots, I think. Rather odd. Who is or was that man?! Can't answer your question but I did not...

Re: Cheetahs v Ulster Friday 21st September 6:15pm KO
Apparently we are sweating on the fitness of Cooney and Addison with a decision being made tommorrow. Addison maybe, but can't honestly see Cooney play. Too much of a risk, especially with the Autumn Internationals coming up and Murray struggling. Maybe Addison into the centre or even Speight into ...

Re: Injury Update
Apparently, it had previously been agreed not to play any NIQ players in the new league and he had to be removed. No confirmation of this however.

Re: Ulster v Kings
Yip. Plays our best winger out of position, throws no-hands-luke into the starting 15 on return from injury. leaves our best fit FB on the bench. :banghead: Personally I think Piutau is our best available fullback seeing as our best fullback has a headache. Louis is our safest fullback, but for thi...

Re: Ulster v Leinster
Not entirely sure that I agree with the apparent domination of Leinster Schools and the progression to their Academy. Yes , the Schools do commit financially to top D O Rs in their schools and a rich vein of talent flows through to the Leinster Academy, but I would hold my judgement for a few years ...

Re: Ulster Schools 2017-2018
Big congratulations to Ulster Schools on winning the Interpro Championship for the first time in many years. My guess might be that Chris Henry may have been captain the last time they won it. Another 1 point victory away to Leinster was the clincher today. Well done to Kieran Campbell and his coach...

Ulster Schools 2017-2018
Ulster Schools have played two games so far in their 4 match tournament and have won one and lost one. Both game margins were one point. Beating leinster Schools by 18-17 heralds a first victory over them for quite a few seasons and by all accounts had the beating of Munster, before going down 10-9....

Re: Piutau to Bristol
Putting aside the IRFU for a moment and needing their approval for all contracts but the reported £500k Charlie was on could have probably got you Eben Etzebeth or David Pocock Piutau had a two year contract. It was obvious it wouldn't be extended by us or indeed him. I think that he lit up Kingspa...

Re: Ireland u20s
I think you can watch these games on worldrugby.org. Ireland with too many injuries to really make an impact in this tournament. Also drop hooker McElroy because he didn't want to join Connacht Academy and may go to Saracens Academy instead. Sounds like another Nucifora decision.

Agree with the discontent over Nucifora, but is there really any need for this ?Tighter End wrote:Waistcoat Watson is a waste of a good kidney.

Re: B & I Cup 16/17
Zactly Dave ... we have progressed this year from abject shambles to a set up that is able to handle some indifferent opposition at home and away ... but up against the Provinces youth systems we get hoaked. When we cant find someone to replace Ah Feck then we've issues .... And the current U19 cha...

Re: Ulster v Barbarian's
Does anyone else see this as an attempt to squeeze more ££s from supporters wanting to give Ruan a big send off in his last home game? Now that his last (home) game has changed from Leinster on 6th May (pretty much a guaranteed sellout) to another a month later you can expect Ticketbas***d to be bu...

Re: |Schools cup 2017
On Saturday 18th February, there were 4 Schools Cup games and 4 Subsidiary Shield games. This makes 16 teams in total. 15 were available to play on the pre arranged date. Most of those Schools also arrange ski trips too but not on Cup dates. Why ? because they have those dates well in advance. One S...
