Re: Heineken Cup is back - Ulster vs Castres

I note from the Castres website that they are playing their home game against Northampton at Toulouse;s ground. Wonder if there is any chance that they might take us there ? If so, might change arrangements a tad.

Re: Treviso 2012/13

Now that the Zebre game has been rearranged for the previous Sunday to the Treviso fixture, is it reasonable to assume that the boys are going to spend a week in Italy ? Seems sensible to me, but wonder how the Ulster Treasurer feels about that ?? Might have to rearrange my plans now, if this is ann...

Re: Ulster Schools 2012-2013.

Ulster Schools Under 18 finished their competitive season on Saturday with a close 17-15 win over Munster Schools. They beat Lancashire Schools 35-5, Languedoc U 18's 24-10, Connacht Schools 23-0 and lost 68-5 to Leinster Schools. Despite the immensity of the defeat by Leinster, I suppose this is a ...

Re: Castres watch.

Castres 28 v 13 Biarritz. Thats a good win for Castres ,despite the fact that to win at home is a major objective of most French sides. Former Natal Sharks scrum half Rory Kockett got the only try for Castres, converted it and shared 7 penalties with Teulet. Pedrie came on as sub in 78mt. methinks ...

Re: Ulster Schools 2012-2013.

I have to agree with the Ulster schools selection as it is nothing short of puzzling? I do not get the RBAI over representation and the MCB under representation? MCB swept the board this year and surely deserve a little bit more recognition on the team as do Ballyclare? .....strange :( Because a sc...

Re: Ulster Schools 2012-2013.

Well apparently the beat a poor Connaught Schools team on Wed........and thats good.....but I fear for them with the Munster game coming up next week.....with the Wooden Spoon last year surely our schools rugby is better that the results suggest ???? Where did it say that it was a poor Connacht sid...

Re: Ospreys V Ulster Live Updates

Hope our new coach learnt a lesson tonight. PLAY YOUR STRONGEST AVAILABLE TEAM AT ALL TIMES!!!!!!!!!!! Important win anyway. My MOM would have been Cave. Heaney should never start again. As for NOC..... Do you really think that the Coach would have started with this XV if the International players ...

Re: Under 20's

If any of Ulster Schools boys who were heavily defeated by Leinster Schools last Wednesday are reading this , take some consolation from the fact that the U 20's win last night follows on from them being beaten by Leinster at U 19 level last year by 33-6. All is not lost and can be retrieved with ha...

Re: Ian Humphreys

Ian had one year to go with his Ulster contract and with the downward spiral of his performance , he may not have got an extension to this. So when London Irish step in with a three year contract offer..........a no-brainer methinks.

Re: Ulster v Leicester +ines and -ives

Nothing can really be read out the game two teams playing preseason rugby where the result was secondary and the teams were a mixed bag of hopefuls and we need the mind set back While the Leinster scrum was in all kinds of trouble the basic cause was the fact that second row were inexperienced ligh...
