Re: Dear Mr Logan

Agree generally with most posters here at their disappointment at this announcement. It is a definite case of the poorest communication possible . Lets get some facts established. (1) Every Ulster supporter and player presumably, were led to believe that Ravenhill was available to host a Heiny QF an...

Fair point!

It just scared me!
Leighton Hodges reffing I think. Give him a chance to redeem himself after that blatant knock-on he missed at Twickenham on Saturday.

Re: Confirmed - Kidney is gone

There would appear to be universal agreement that DK is better away from the Irish set-up. I have always felt that he was a dignified and passionate Coach / Manager, rarely ruffled, but incapable of harnessing all the best qualities of the successful Provinces, to the extent that I believe that Inte...

Thinking of going to The Cricketer's Arms in Richmond. Any chance of buses going from outside the Orange Tree as per final last year ? :fleg:

Re: SCHOOLS CUP 2013

Thanks Rooster. Very interesting. Next question who were Derry Academy, defeated finalists in 1882 and 1896, both times beaten by MCB ? Since Foyle lost in 1884, it wasnt them. Finally, defeated finalists in 1887 were Galway Academy. Enlighten me somebody please.

Re: Stadium Redevelopment Photos 2012-2014

The builders were pushing for a 15,000 availability for a home Heineken Quarter on April 5/6/7th, so they have an extra 5 weeks to make that number available for a potential Rabo play-off on Friday 10th May, if we get a home tie.No necessity but I'm sure Ulster Rugby would want to maximise support o...

Re: Will Sexton's move to France affect the IRFU's NIQ nonse

Absolute no-brainer that he would accept this deal from Racing Metro. It is rumoured to be worth 750,000 Euros . Now that figure would blow the IRFU out of the water. Probably double his current contract. They were never going to compete with a salary like that. Bet Ian Madigan is smiling...... more...

Re: Sarries away it is then....

Did I read somewhere that a final venue decision has to be made by Feb 6th ? If so, I can't possibly see that Saracens will get plans approved by then by H & S to add an additional 6,000 seats at their new ground. My money is on Twickenham and there will be plenty of tickets available.

Re: 9/10 and World Dominance.

Wouldn't really bother giving much credibility to some of the RTE commentators , cos they have pains in the back of their necks looking up the Rabo table ,trying to find where Ulster are. Praise for Ulster players is begrudging as always. Vis a Vis the RP/ PJ debate, let them waffle on. Its a no-bra...

Re: Positives and Negatives : Scarlets v Ulster

Positives. Have played 4 games in Wales, won them all. Have played 2 games in Italy, won both. Have all these sides back at The Fortress. Apparently, no injuries tonight. Good run -out for Johaan and Rory. Excellent , dominant scrum. Paddy's goalkicking. Negatives. Penalties conceded. First yellow c...

Re. travel arrangements, seem to remember in 2005-2006, that the team flight was diverted from Treviso to Milan, because of fog at Treviso. Team arrived in hotel at close to midnight, having got coaches for everybody from Milan to Treviso. Fortunately the game was a dead Heineken rubber. Didn't affe...

Re: Redevelopment.

Agree that there should be little talk of a home quarter final at this point of the season, but , be sure that the Management Board at Ravenhill will have discussed the prospect of this happening. A home quarter final is where the home team can make a lot of money as the gates from semis and finals ...

Re: Stevie Ferris

When we faced a crisis last year at full back, funds were found from somewhere to produce a short -term contract for Stefan TB. With our problems at lock at present, could we not seek another such deal for a lock for a month or so ? Don't know if this is allowed at this stage of the season but South...

Re: Who was your Ulster MOTM vs Edinburgh?

Just thought a mention of Callum Black is necessary. I have been very impressed by his scrummaging throughout this season to date. last night he destroyed the Embra tighthead. I dont believe that he has been bettered by an opponent this season. The quality of our props is top drawer and will beg the...
