Re: Who was your MOTM for ULSTER vs Leicester?

No shortage of candidates this week (for a change) Great to see a behemoth wearing 6 for Ulster again so Henderson gets my vote. Thought Gilroy deserves an honourable mention -covering in defence for ihumph a lot and the run which included the double pirouette was great. Did he pack down at 7 when w...

Re: Ulster v Toulon Allstars

Payne has got no gas from standing still. It takes him 5-10 yards to get to top speed. cf Olding who just steps and he's there. He only goes past people when he comes into the line full pelt. Have to agree with this - Payne seems very slow off the mark which is not great for 13.... Has anyone thoug...

Re: Ireland v Wales

Don't think you are far wrong there Jackie. Mind you he is still the man on the field, but for him and his chivvying just before half-time it could have been 5 points difference and squeaky bum time at the end. Furthermore I suspect he has now become the 2nd best scrum half in the country. .....and...

Re: Munster MOTM

Trimble's 2 hits near the end were worth the admission and lifted the team. Having watched the penalty incident on tv it was a ridiculous decision

Re: Who was your Man of the Match?

For me the 3 stars were RP, Cave and Rory, in that order.
Honorable mentions for the 2 Paddys (were there only 2!), Pedrie, Johann and DeccieFitz.

Re: Ulster v Edinburgh Positives and Negatives

Having watched the game on TV without the benefit of flegs and beer a few thoughts; RP superb - particularly the marshallesque break from the base  and kick to the corner with a magnificent tackle to gain the lineout. Cave's defence again excellent. Main positive for me is that we are not disc...

Re: So it's Leinster in the final - an all Ireland final

I know it's not the be all and end all but with full strength teams, how many Leinster players would you swap for Ulstermen? ARGUABLY none in the pack and the backs three/four. (Not mentioning any names as unfair to yesterday's heroes) They have more depth for sure but our boys have shown they can p...

Re: Positives and Negatives: Munster V Ulster

Just back and watched the TG4 highlights. Agree with above but would add to positives.. Support sounded phenomenal in stadium and on TV :salut: Pienaar was worth his weight in gold not just for his distribution/kicking but was in Poite's ear all match. Playing the referee at its best. Murray looked ...

Re: Northampton V Ulster Live

Great half - apart from scaring the crap out of my 1yr old son by shouting 'you dancer' to Trimble's try.
Danielli, D'Arcy, Tuohy, Humphreys, all standing out.
Good on Rory for letting the rf know about Hartley's antics.
Worried about Tc in scrums. Twice penalised now.
Come on lads.

Re: Please, Please, Please MGlocks

What todays match has confirmed is the starting 23 if all fit. Court, Best, Botha, Tuohy, Muller, Ferris, Wannenburg, Faloon Pienaer, Huphm. Danielli, Wallace, Spence, Trimble, D'Arcy Subs: McAllister, Kyriacou, Fitzpatrick, Barker, Henry, Marshall, Cave, Gilroy/Gaston Total no brainer as far as I ...

Re: Positives and Negatives: Glasgee V Ulster

Just back from the game - fantastic Ulster support, outweighed the Weggies - the only time they made themselves heard was the booing during RPs final kick. Have not seen replay of Best's card but I he was rightly pi$$ed off. Scrum great in 1st half. Good use of the bench - Faloon and Paddy Mac made ...

Girvan Dempsey retires

If Mike Catt gets a thread, Girv ''the swerve'' certainly deserves one....

Somewhat unfairly labelled as a solid but unspectacular player.
It is hard to remember him having a bad game for Ireland (unlike Geordan Murphy)
:salut:
