A last minute penalty from Stuart Hogg denied Ulster even a losing bonus point from Scotstoun Stadium as they were beaten 27-17 by defending champions the Glasgow Warriors.

The visitors had led at the break courtesy of a try from the returning Iain Henderson and a penalty from centurion Paddy Jackson while Finn Russell sent over three penalties for Glasgow.

Stuart McCloskey opened the second half scoring with an opportunistic score four minutes in but from there it was one way traffic with...

It was a game where defences reigned but eventually RBAI were able to defend their Danske Bank Schools’ Cup title with a 13-3 victory over Campbell College at the Kingspan Stadium.

Centre Jack Hume scored an intercept try with the last play of the game to seal the win after he himself had landed two penalties in the first half, while Campbell could only manage one penalty from flanker John Crowther in reply.

Campbell will be devastated not to have won this game though having comprehensively...

A brace of tries from Nick Williams gave Ulster a 32-0 win at the Kingspan Stadium over Italian side Zebre, with Paul Marshall’s late try giving the home side a very important bonus point as well.

Williams scored two first half tries to go with two Paddy Jackson penalties before second half scores from Marshall and Pete Browne secured all five points for Ulster that gets them back to winning ways in the Guinness PRO12.

Les Kiss can also be happy with his team’s defence as they managed to...

Ulster suffered their second consecutive defeat and came away from Cardiff with nothing as they fell to a 23-13 defeat to the Blues at the Cardiff Arms Park.

Two late tries from Rhys Patchell and Aled Summerhill secured the win for the Blues while Patchell also contributed ten points with the boot as the Welsh side picked up a deserved victory.

Ulster had led 13-6 with ten minutes to play through a Craig Gilroy try and two Paddy Jackson penalties but they could not hold on as they put in...

Ulster missed the chance to go back to the top of the Guinness PRO12 and fell to their second home defeat of the season, losing 21-20 to play-off rivals the Scarlets.

A brace of tries from full-back Michael Collins and 11 points from the boot of Aled Thomas handed the Welsh side an unlikely four points that takes them above Ulster in the PRO12 table.

Ulster fought back through scores from Craig Gilroy and Luke Marshall, but ultimately their inability to cross the try line more coupled with...

Match Report: Ulster Rugby 13-10 Glasgow Warriors

Ulster returned to the top of the Guinness PRO12 with a close 13-10 victory over the Glasgow Warriors at the Kingspan Stadium.

The scoreline belies the fact that the home side were by far the better team and dominated possession and territory, however their wastefulness in the opposition 22 cost them dearly and allowed their visitors a losing bonus point from the encounter.

Glasgow led at half-time through an early Lee Jones try while all the home side could muster was a penalty from...
