Darren Cave signs new three-year deal

Ulster centre Darren Cave has signed a new three-year contract with the province which will see him stay at the Kingspan Stadium until 2018.

The contract is a joint contract with the IRFU, and Cave is the second player to commit his future to Ulster under new team manager Bryn Cunningham following the announcement of Tommy Bowe’s new deal in November.

Ulster will begin their 2015/16 Guinness PRO12 campaign with a Welsh double-header as they host the Ospreys in their season opener before heading to the Scarlets in week two.

Ulster Rugby today revealed their new home and away kits for the 2015/16 season in a large unveiling at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast.

In front of 1,500 attendees, captain Rory Best modelled the new Kukri-designed home kit along with Ireland international wingers Tommy Bowe and Andrew Trimble.

Ulster and the IRFU have announced that hooker Rory Best has signed a new two year contract extension that will keep him at the Kingspan Stadium until at least the summer of 2018.

Best has made 172 appearances for his province since making his senior debut in November 2004 against Munster and has scored 16 tries, and was named Ulster captain at the start of last season.

Herring signs on for two more years

Ulster have announced that hooker Rob Herring has extended his contract by a further two years and will remain at the Kingspan Stadium until at least the summer of 2018.

The news comes a week after fellow hooker Rory Best agreed a two-year extension with the province and solidifies Ulster’s hooking partnership for the next few years.

Herring, 25, has played 79 times for Ulster since he made his debut against Glasgow Warriors back in August 2012 and has scored three tries for his province.
