We arrive at Christmas, out of the play-off places in fifth place in the league, out of Europe and with many of our top line players injured. So, how has it been for you?
In the words of dancing luvvie, Craig thingamyjigger “Disaaaaaaaaaastaah daling”, but hey maybe I’m a drama queen, maybe others are quietly happy.
To assess Ulster’s performance to date you either say, these guys are professional, WTF is going on or you take some account of circumstances. So...

And so, as has seemed almost inevitable since allowing Tigers to escape from Ravenhill for the first time with anything but a real hiding, we to the home of the perennial big English club.
No team has so consistently been at the top of their domestic game & lifted so many trophies as Leicester Tigers. They are the epitome of the big bully in the biggest of school-yards, the self-confessed toughest league in the world, the PRL.

No time here for the details of the row over future ERC Heineken...

Standing on the brink – glory at last or no cigar?

So a new season is about to get underway and expectations can never have been higher that a first trophy since the Magners League success of 2006 may well be on its way.

Heineken Cup or Pro12? Of course we would take either but what are the prospects. We would all take either one of course but what are the chances of grabbing either?

No significant signings have been made to add to our strength over the summer but this time, that has to be...

The UAFC would like to say a big Merry Christmas, and thank you to all our readers throughout the year.
Without you, we wouldn't be the best rugby fan club website for any rugby team bar none.

We would also like to say a big Thank you to Ulster Rugby for the roller-coaster ride that has seen us sweep all Rabodirect and Heineken opposition aside this year. I can honestly say this has been the best season I have ever witnessed, and enjoyed, since last year :D

Not forgetting the league coverage...

On the back of the greatest all round performance of this season, and indeed perhaps our best away victory in memory in terms of all-round quality, it’s time to reflect on the short medium & long term prospects for our team.

We arrive in the happiest place an Ulster team has been for many years. We bestride the Rabo Pro12 looking odds on a home semi-finalist, currently with a 9 point lead and importantly a 12 point lead over the most likely team to make a run at us, Leinster.

Perhaps...

The season so far...

Having arrived at the first natural break of the season, it seems like a good time to review what has been almost a perfect start to the season. Seven League wins & 2 Heineken Cup wins for a 100% record is without question a start none of us could claim to have foreseen. Sadly it has also been touched by a tragedy which seems to have driven the team onwards united.

Apart from the obvious joy of our position, the second best feature is the sight of our biggest threat, Leinster, languishing in...
